   Industrial Visits

University organized Seminars / Workshops / Industrial visits to enable the students to keep pace with the current developments in the research community by fostering close ties with the industry in order to make the teaching, research and training at the university relevant to the needs of the economy at the national and global level.

  • The students of EEE and ECE visited Punjab Communications on 23rd October 2013.The students were accompanied by three faculty members namely Er. Dixit Gupta, Er. Pankaj Nanglia and Er. Sunaina, all Assistant Professors. Mr. Rohit Malhotra, Department Head, Training, addressed the students and gave a brief introduction of the organization and the different production lines. Mr. Malhotra also explained about every activity happening in the plant like mounting of components on PCB, soldering, pasting, winding and wiring etc. The concerned staff satisfied the queries of the students regarding manufacturing
  • The students of Mechanical Engineering visited "Deen Bandhu Chotu Ram Thermal Power Plant" Yamuna Nagar, on 12th November 2013. The students were guided by the faculty member Er Punit and Er JB Sharma of Mechanical Engineering department. The objective was to provide information regarding Power generation and functioning of Power Plant explained in detail. The information provided by the Managers of the companies/plants was a great educational visit as it provided great exposure required to enhance the practical knowledge of the students.
  • A Workshop on "Embedded systems" for the students of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering was organized by MAIT on 11th November 2013. Another workshop on the same day was conducted for Computer Science students on "Android". An informative lecture was delivered by Ms Yogita Pathania and Mr Gurdayal Singh, (Software Engineers) from HCL Limited
  • A two days' workshop on "AutoCAD" was organised on 29th and 30th November 2013 Ms. Hunny Nakra (Corporate Manager).for the students of Mechanical and Civil Engineering Departments. The students were imparted knowledge of 2D and 3D modeling using Autocad and Creo Software.
  • The students of B.Arch. were again guided to the site of construction works on 23rd of August 2013, where they were shown the bricks laying process and were also given general awareness about foundations of buildings as a part of the teaching programme
  • The students of Architecture visited Gujarat Ambuja Cement Plant at Roopnagar on 9th November,2013, where they got first hand information regarding the manufacturing of the Cement.This visit was conducted under the guidance of Ar. Sapna Dhiman(Assistant professor).
